Our Vision
New opportunities have emerged in recent times for export oriented, vertically integrated agriculture developments in Australia. To realise these opportunities, our company is proposing to establish an Agricultural-Biotechnology Park as a common facility centre specifically focused on Agricultural Biotechnology based inputs and services.
This regional Park will be set up as a Private Sector initiative, offering complete facilities and the necessary support for establishing private agricultural based companies.
The region of Bunbury in Western Australia has been selected as an ideal location because of its existing educational, transport and communications infrastructure, and its proximity to the rich, diverse, agricultural south western part of Australia. Bunbury is also seen as an attractive environment for the highly skilled workforce that will be required following establishment of the Agricultural Biotechnology Park.
Australian Biotechnology Park Pty Ltd has the capacity to realise this, the first regional and specifically focused Australian Agri-Biotechnology industry cluster precinct, as it receives support from all levels of Government. Its research and knowledge of some of the existing businesses and industries involved in leading-edge biotechnology developments point to a very real need for a “point-of-reference” site; a place where R&D can take place in a collaborative environment and the full potential for new value-added agri-products and exports can be
fostered.
